Police post reward for info on student’s murder

KZN police have offered up to R50 000 in reward money for any information that would lead to the arrest of the killers of Durban student Shrivaar Panday.

THE KwaZulu-Natal police have offered up to R50 000 in reward money for information that may lead to the arrest and successful conviction of suspect/s responsible for the murder of Morningside student, Shrivaar Pandy (22) who was murdered on 3 November 2014.

Major Thulani Zwane, provincial police spokesman said Panday was on his way to university to write an exam when he was attacked by unknown suspect/s who fatally stabbed him. “He drove to the nearest service station where he succumbed due to his injuries,” said Zwane.

Meanwhile a reward of up to R30 000 has been offered by the KwaZulu-Natal police to anyone who may provide information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of a suspect who shot and killed Garth Dave Pratten (43). “On 21 October 2014 Pratten was fatally shot by unknown suspect while he was sitting in his vehicle at Khuzimpi Shezi (Williams) Road opposite Jwayelani Butchery where he was working as a director. The motive of the killing is unknown at this stage,” added Zwane.
