Outreach builds library at Settlers

A new library has been established for residents of Coronation House at Natal Settlers'.

RESIDENTS of Coronation House at Natal Settlers' Memorial Homes, are now able to choose and read books at their leisure, thanks to the establishment of a small library at the residence.

The Glenwood Presbyterian Church outreach group, made up of Lauren Finch, Jean Tuck, Brenda Burness and Philip Finestone, have been working hard at the residence, and thanks to a kind donation of four cupboards by Charles Part from Cupboard Value, Philip, who is handy with wood work, has been able to make up some nice bookcases.

“We decided to set up the library at the home and thanks to this donation, this has become a reality. We have also donated books from our fetes, and would appreciate any more donations of bookcases or books,” said Philip.

For the past 15 years the outreach team at the church has focussed on uplifting Coronation House.

If anyone can help with donations of bookcases, wood, towels and bed sheets, contact Lauren on 083 457 9868.
