Funnyman returns with more laughs

Catch comedian Masood Boomgaard's “Oscar and other things that can kill you” stand up comedy show at the Seabrooke Theatre on 26 and 27 September.

STAND UP comedian Masood Boomgaard returns to the stage at the Seabrooke Theatre in Musgrave for two nights, Friday, 26 and Saturday, 27 September with his new comedy special “Oscar and other things that can kill you,” a razor sharp and hilarious observation of current news events, social trends and every day life.

Masood picks up where he left off with his previous show, the election themed “Funny Country,” and will once again cast his eye to the South African political landscape, take aim at the likes of Juju and company and explore the topics that we’ve all been talking about. He offers his side splittingly funny views on the Oscar Trial, air travel, corruption, chocking sports teams, the economy, relationships and just about everything else in between.

Masood Boomgaard is regarded as one the industry’s brightest stand up comedy talents, making a name for himself on the Durban club comedy scene and has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in SA comedy including Marc Lottering, Mark Banks, Muthu Murugan and Chris Forrest and has had the honour of performing for VIPs and dignitaries, including President Jacob Zuma.

“Oscar and other things that can kill you” takes place at the Seabrooke Theatre, Durban High School St Thomas Road, Musgrave on 26 and 27 September at 8pm. Tickets cost R80 and are available from Computicket and Shoprite.
