Durban hosts world psychotherapists

World Congress for Psycotherapy will be an encounter of western traditions in psychotherapy with the traditions of African healing.

DURBAN will host the 7th World Congress for Psychotherapy (WCP), from 25 to 29 August, with a strong focus on Africa with its rich traditions in healing and treatments of human beings.

It will be an encounter of western traditions in psychotherapy with the traditions of African healing.

“We want to show the research findings as well as the different psychotherapy school approaches for different patient groups. We also want to show you the richness of Africa in this context. We are excited to propose an outstanding program featuring internationally renowned keynote speakers amongst others Prof Joseph Knobel Freud, the nephew of Sigmund Freud,” said Prof Sylvester N Madu, Congress Chairman of WCP 2014.

The 7th World Congress for Psychotherapy is the premier international congress for the most influential and inspiring psychotherapy practitioners and healthcare professionals who are dedicated to improving patient care.

Durban will be a meeting place for psychotherapists from all continents and the congress will provide a rare oppportunity where new projects will come into existence that are shaping the future of psychotherapy.
