Another tree falls over in Glenwood

Glenwood residents urge the municipality to take action against falling trees after another tree fell over in Bulwer Road on Tuesday.

ANOTHER rotten tree fell over at the intersection of Cromwell and Bulwer Roads on Tuesday afternoon.

Luckily no one was hurt and there was no damage to property.

Residents concerns were raised as this is the second tree to come crashing down this month. The other was at the intersection of Brand and Marcus Roads in early July.

Residents are calling on the municipality to do something about the rotting trees in Glenwood before someone was badly injured.

On 28 March, the Berea Mail featured an article about the falling trees in Glenwood, where it reported that local ward councillor, Nicole Graham, had asked for a meeting with eThekwini Parks and Recreation Unit to discuss the dangers the falling trees posed, not only to property, but also the risks to individuals.
