No bins for Feilden Drive

FOLLOWING an article in last week’s Berea Mail regarding the litter in Feilden Drive, it has come to light that there is the issue of a shortage of litter bins within the municipality.

According to a municipal representative, the municipality is prioritising areas where bins will be placed.

“The area in question does not have a high volume of pedestrians and also does not have a high volume of litter. There are also no activities taking place there,” he said.

“I have asked whether there are any plans to acquire more bins and also how the prioritising was deciphered as new bins were put in Marcus Avenue which is a small road with minimal traffic,” said Councillor Nicole Graham.
