Off duty police officers awarded

POLICE personnel from the National Mobile Training Unit (NMTU) based at SAPS Railway Unit received their certificates of commendation for the good work they did while they were off-duty last week. According to Durban Central Communications Officer, Captain Khepu Ndlovu, “The officers attended a business robbery and an armed robbery that took place in the Durban’s CBD. A 32-year-old suspect was arrested and one 9mm pistol with two live rounds of ammunition were recovered.”

The certificates were handed over to members by Durban Central Cluster Commander Major General Bala Naidoo. The issuing of the certificates was initiated to motivate members to be proud of their outstanding work.
