Woman fatally struck in pedestrian accident in Berea

The two occupants of the vehicle had sustained moderate injuries.

THIS afternoon, a woman was fatally struck by a car in a pedestrian accident on Berea Road opposite Berea Centre.

According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, the incident occurred just after 13:00 today. “On arrival, the paramedics found that a female believed to be in her forties had sustained major injuries, and unfortunately, there was nothing more the paramedics could do for her, and she was declared deceased on the scene.”

“At this stage, the events leading up to the collision are unknown, however, SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further,” said Jamieson.
