Pre-primary hosts superhero-themed function for dads
Joyce-Broadhead Pre-Primary invited fathers to enjoy a fun-filled day with their children at the Musgrave school last Thursday.
MUSGRAVE-BASED school Joyce-Broadhead Pre-Primary held a superhero-themed Father’s Day function on Thursday, June 15, ahead of Father’s Day last Sunday, to help their learners bond and show appreciation to their fathers.
The function included arts and crafts where learners crafted special handmade gifts for their fathers, and the invited guests, the dads, were able to interact with their children in their school environment.

The local school is named after the founder, Joyce Broadhead, who devoted many years of service to the children of Berea. The independent, co-educational pre-primary school specialises in educating children from 2–6 years old, including a Grade R/0 year.
According to the school’s principal, Claude Pillai, the children were all delighted to have their fathers present on the day. “We celebrated Father’s Day in true Joyce-Broadhead style, with a superhero-themed Father’s Day event. We had games to test speed, strength, agility and aim. The dads were then treated to tasty treats to renew their energy. It was a fun-filled morning of love and happiness enjoyed by dads, children and a committed team of staff.”
