Pre-Primary hosts special day for mothers

The function included arts and crafts where learners crafted special handmade gifts for their mothers, and the invited guests, the moms, were able to interact with their children in their school environment.

MUSGRAVE-BASED school Joyce-Broadhead Pre-Primary held a Mother’s Day function on Friday, May 5, ahead of Mother’s Day this Sunday to help their learners show appreciation to their mothers.

The function included arts and crafts where learners crafted special handmade gifts for their mothers, and the invited guests, the moms, were able to interact with their children in their school environment.

The local school is named after the founder, Mrs. Joyce Broadhead, who devoted many years of service to the children of Berea. The independent, co-educational pre-primary school specialises in educating children from 2–6 years old, including a Grade R/0 year.

The school’s principal, Claude Pillai, says the function was a major success. “Our learners engaged in activities with their mothers and then enjoyed a social snack and chat. Thank you to our educators, general assistants, admin and staff for a heartwarming morning. We love and appreciate all mothers and the awesome work they do!”
