Benefits of celebrating International Podcast Day

The organisers of the special day state that there are several ways to get involved and plenty to benefit from by taking part in the day’s celebration.

TODAY, September 30, the world is commemorating International Podcast Day.

According to the International Podcast Day website, this is an international celebration of the power of podcasts.

Since the first year of celebration in 2015, the annual event has brought together 350 podcasters from nearly 100 countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Poland, Germany, South Africa, Jamaica, Spain, Argentina, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Philippines, India, France, Switzerland, Scotland, UK, Finland, Canada and the United States.

“The celebration is a great opportunity to connect with fellow podcasters, podcast listeners, podcast enthusiasts, and leaders in the podcasting industry. You can help spread the word by telling your friends and sharing the celebration on your podcasts and social media feeds, and using the hashtag, #InternationalPodcastDay,” said the website.

The website also states that there are several ways to get involved and plenty of ways to benefit from taking part in the day’s celebration. “Firstly, we must all ‘Start The Conversation’ and share the power of podcasts. Podcasting is a growing business within the digital audio sector. According to Triton Digital’s Omny Studio team, countries with the biggest yearly growth in podcasting include Spain (at 269%), Portugal (161%) and the Netherlands (132%).”

The benefits of commemorating the day, as podcasters or listeners, are as follows:
