Missing man’s car recovered as search continues in Umbilo

Dawn Gounden of Renegades Search and Rescue said the vehicle has been recovered, yet there is no trace of the missing man.

NEARLY a week has passed since Nicholas Fuller (35) went missing on Sunday, June 12.  He was last seen in the Carrington Heights area driving a charcoal-grey Hyundai 120 at about 21:30.

According to Dawn Gounden of Renegades Search and Rescue, the vehicle has since been recovered, yet there is no trace of the missing man.

She added that search efforts have been thorough.

“The family and Renegades Search and Rescue have checked various state hospitals as well as a mortuary and prison and haven’t found anything so far,” said Gounden.

A flyer circulated by Renegades Search and Rescue.

Fuller is described as a 1.8m tall man of about 105kgs in weight with short brown hair. He has a left upper-arm tattoo – a band including a moon, stars, birds and a tree. He was wearing a red jersey, beige trousers and grey takkies when he disappeared.

“We are seeking assistance from the public – anyone who comes forward to share any information that could assist the SAPS and Renegades Search and Rescue to find Nicholas Fuller,” said Gounden.

Umbilo SAPS was not available for comment at the time this article was published.

In another case, Morningside resident Chad Dorkin went missing on the same day, Sunday, June 12, after a carjacking that took place in Woodford Grove in Windermere.

Dorkin has since been found after a ransom was demanded for his release.
