PHOTO: Fun in the sun at Articulate Africa

Mr Fish, (Sibusiso Dlamini) delighted children and adults alike with his juggling show.

THERE was no end to the festivities at the final leg of Articulate Africa at Durban’s Bay of Plenty on Sunday, June 5. From taxidermy displays to live music, a children’s painting station and Mr Fish, the clown (Sibusiso Dlamini), the event had it all.

Mr fish delighted children and adults alike with his juggling skills. In a comical skit, he he gestured for children to help pick up one of his juggling clus, only to drop another club behind at the same time.

Sunday’s shindig delighted the Durban community from 10:00 until 17:00, with actress and hostess Thandeka ‘MaZulu’ keeping the ball rolling. The line-up included DJ Sox, Lashona Arts, DJ Nzwiri and Menzi the Drummer.

The fair kicked off on Friday, June 3 at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre with the Articulate Africa book launch, showing a compilation of stories penned by various authors. On the same day, renowned South African artist Mary Sibande displayed her work at an art exhibition at Durban City Hall Art Gallery.

Day two of the fair saw Patson ‘Sparks’ Banda share insights on his book and the journey behind it, before a panel of speakers, including Dr Maud Mthembu. Psychologist Dr Miso Mhlongo shared in a seminar on mental illness and depression.
