Together, let’s support Slipper Day 2022

Remember to post your Slipper Day selfie on social media to encourage others to participate in #slipperday2022.

REACH for a Dream, South Africa’s top NP, Reach for a Dream, has been helping children with life-threatening illnesses realize their aspirations for the past 34 years. These little dreamers’ childhoods have been blighted by constant medical visits, long hospital stays, and frequently painful therapies, which is why the foundation is dedicated to instilling hope in the lives of these children and their families.

Wimpy, Dischem Pharmacies, and Pick ‘n Pay have previously partnered with Reach For A Dream for its greatest annual event. The organization hopes to reach more South Africans this year with the addition of two new partners, Toyzone and Baby City.

The campaign is aimed at all South Africans, regardless of age or industry, including schools, corporations, and individuals. The organisation raised almost R 6 million last year and every cent went towards realizing the dreams of little dreamers. This year, the foundation aims to raise R8 million.

In the spirit of this year’s recurring themes of unity and support, Reach For A Dream is inviting everyone to come together in support of Slipper Day on Friday, May 6.

”Our call to action this year is simple, we ask all South Africans to rally behind us and play their part in being visible agents of change. The Foundation’s biggest goal is to have every single South African in slippers on the 6th of May.” – Julia Sotirianakos, Reach For A Dream, CEO.

Each sticker purchased benefits the Reach For A Dream Foundation, which helps youngsters harness the power of their dreams in order to combat life-threatening illnesses and realize their aspirations. Don’t forget to bring your slippers and stickers with you when you go into any Wimpy and get your FREE Wimpy Coffee.

Slipper Day Supporter Stickers are available in the following stores: Wimpy, Dischem Pharmacies, Pick n Pay, Toyzone, and Babycity, and for every supporter sticker purchased.
