Umgeni Railway train is back on track for festive fun

Don't miss out on a nostalgic, fun family outing.

ARE you looking for the perfect post-Christmas family activity? Take a trip along the Valley of 1000 Hills with the Inchanga Choo Choo train.

The train departs from  the Kloof Railway Station, it meanders along the valley, goes through one of the oldest operating tunnels in South Africa, and stops in Inchanga.

At Inchanga Station there is plenty of interesting things to see and do for the whole family.

Your ticket enables you to discover railway artefacts in the museum, which is situated in the Old Station Master’s House. Keep a look out for Thomas and Friends in the modeller’s shed and other ‘mini’ trains.

This is also the perfect opportunity to do some post-Christmas shopping at the Inchanga Station Craft Market.

There will also be food and drinks on sale.

Trains depart from the Kloof Railway Station on Sunday, December 26 and Monday, 27 at 08:30 and 12:30 (steam).

Sunday, January 2 2022 at 08:30 and 12:30 (diesel). Saturday, January 8 and Sunday, January 9 2022 at 08:30 and 12:30 (steam).

Seats are limited. Book and pay within 48 hours to ensure your seats.
Tickets cost R290 for adults, R200 for pensioners and children aged two to 12 years.

There is also a family package which costs R880 for two adults and two children.
