Get your eyes checked at vision centre

The KZN Blind and Deaf Society's Optometric Centre is now available for low cost, quality optometry and low vision services for those without access to private sector services.

IF you are struggling to see things at a distance, or unable to see clearly when reading or sewing, the KZN Blind and Deaf Society’s Optometric Screening Centre is probably the best place to visit.

The KZN Blind and Deaf Society and the Brien Holden Vision Institute have opened their Optometric and Low Vision Screening Centre at their building on 23 Ismail C Meer Street to assist those struggling with poor vision.

The centre promises to get your eyes tested at low cost and high quality.

The Society has extended its thanks the Victor Daitz Foundation for funding that covered all costs of the renovation work and costs of the equipment required for the Audiology Screening Centre which is expected to open later this month.

The Optometric Centre is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It provides low-cost and quality optometry and low vision services for people who cannot afford to access private sector services.

If you are unable to see things at a distance, unable to see clearly when reading or sewing, experiencing red, itchy or painful eyes, over 40 years old, a diabetic or, hypertensive, it is advisable to make an appointment.
