Greyville man assaulted by gang during armed robbery

The suspects fled with a television, computer, wallet, cellphones and the safe.

A GREYVILLE man was held at knifepoint and assaulted by nine suspects when he entered a business premises on Friday, 21 May.                                       

Blue Security operations director, Brian Jackson said the man unlocked the property to disarm the blaring alarm.

“He left the front door open as a magnetic locking security gate secured it. As he disarmed the alarm, he said he heard a loud noise and was confronted by a suspect with a knife. A struggle ensued, but just then, eight other suspects entered and assaulted him before ransacking the place,” said Jackson.

He said they forced him to open the office and safe.

According to Jackson, the men fled in two vehicles with a television, computer, wallet, cell phones and the safe.
