Durban charity shop pays it forward

Bring n Browse recently supported Mothwa Haven, Natal Settlers and Ekhanana in Umlazi.

LOCAL charity shop Bring n Browse recently paid it forward with donations to local homes the owner, Brenda Jarvis, supports.

Each year, the charity shop in Bulwer Road (extension) hands over donations to local homes, something which was started by the previous owner, Janet Offer, and which Brenda endeavours to continue.

Brenda, who has been running the shop for more than three years after starting at the shop as a volunteer 15 years ago, said despite lockdown, she still managed to make enough revenue to make donations this year.

“I donated once again to the three homes I support, being Mothwa Haven, Natal Settlers and Ekhanana in Umlazi, I handed over garden benches to Mothwa and Settlers this month, and gave glucometer strips to Ekhanana,” she said,

The pubic is encouraged to support the charity shop, which sells clothes, bric-a-brac, books and more, which are donated and re-sold at reasonable prices to the public.

Anyone with donations can contact 084 630 5263.
