Gamers raise more than 8k for CROW
The gamers said they were impressed with CROW's vision to help animals.
LOCAL gamers, Brandon Parkins and Roellanda Jordaan, raised a whopping $525 (about R8 025) for the Centre for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) recently.
CROW communications and marketing officer, Alexandra Koegl said the duo decided to put their gaming expertise to use for a good cause, raising money while playing 7 Days to Die.

“We are extremely grateful for people showing initiative. We didn’t even ask them for help. It was really touching that they raised the money on their own. If people want to get involved, we are always happy to collaborate with them,” she said.
Parkins said he was playing the game live on his YouTube channel, Reach Gaming when he shared a message about CROW and invited people to donate money via PayPal.

“I really liked CROW’s vision, I liked what they were doing. They are really working hard. I’ve seen on social media they are always posting about the wonderful work they do and I thought I’d try and help in some small way,” he said.
“I wanted to support Brandon’s cause as I am animal lover as well. I grew up with animals,” added Jordaan.
