Support charity car wash this Saturday

In light of the successful event held at the weekend, another car wash will be held on 26 September from 7am to 5pm.

THE community came out in support of a charity car wash hosted by Islamic Relief in conjunction with Shell Overport Motors on Saturday, 19 September in aid of the Islamic Relief Global Emergency Projects.

In light of this successful event, another car wash will be held on 26 September from 7am to 5pm.

Islamic Relief is an international aid agency that provides humanitarian relief and development programmes in over 40 countries, serving communities in need regardless of race, political affiliation, gender or belief.

Founded in 1984 in the UK, it has international headquarters in Birmingham (Islamic Relief Worldwide) and a network of national offices, affiliated partners, registered branches and field offices spanning 50 countries, including South Africa.

Islamic Relief’s key areas of work are humanitarian relief and disaster preparedness, development programmes that improve access to sustainable livelihoods, healthcare, education, water, sanitation and hygiene, and advocating on behalf of those in need.

Communities across Africa and Asia have been left devastated by heavy flooding, and Islamic Relief is currently on the ground providing critical support to individuals and families in need by providing food aid, temporary shelter, water treatment and hygiene.
