While life is not back to pre-pandemic normal , a sense of normality has returned, many businesses are back and open, schools are teaching, we can shop and buy whatever we want (even slops), we can walk on the promenade (although not the beach ) and we can exercise whenever we want with no curfew.

What we do all need to be doing in the new normal is supporting local. Many South African businesses (including Caxton Local Media) have been hit very hard economically by Covid 19 and will take a while to recover.

What didn’t change through lockdown though is the need for relevant and factual news. In fact, this need grew and Caxton Local Media were there every week in both print and online with up to date news on the virus and its impact aswell as the feel good stories of the communities pulling together and helping those in need.
