Juliet and her Romeo

There will be a love themed concert at the KZNPO Summer Season concert on Thursday, and catch Romeo and Juliet at the Courtyard Theatre, DUT next week.

DON’T miss the opportunity to get a taste of the greatest love story ever told – William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

The KZN Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Overture as part of its “love” themed concert on Thursday evening, 20 February at the Durban City Hall under the baton of American conductor William Eddins, and students from DUT are staging Romeo and Juliet / Lomeyo no Jula at the DUT Courtyard Theatre from 28 February until 6 March. The performance is directed by Siza Mthembu and translated by Sabatha Ngcobo. It is set in a taxi rank and is performed in isiZulu with a cast of 50.
