Join Bulwer patrol group

Join up to assist on patrols to be extra eyes and ears and help in fighting crime and grime in the area.

THE Bulwer Safety and Urban Regeneration Forum (BSURF) is urgently looking for community patrollers to join the team in working with Umbilo SAPS, Metro Police and all security companies.

Volunteers assist on patrols and provide extra eyes and ears to help fight crime and grime in the area.

BSURF patrols the area from Alan Paton (Mc Donald) Road to King Dinizulu (Berea) Road, from Mazisi Kunene (South Ridge) Road to Umbilo Road, and all roads in between.

“There is no way you would be expected to put your life in direct danger, you will be extra eyes and ears to help patrol to pass on necessary information to SAPS and other relevant departments.

Our area is going down faster since our patrol team is no longer as active as it was, due to lack of volunteers and vehicles to patrol. We need you to come help us in this sector,” said Heather Roos, chairperson of BSURF.

WhatsApp Heather on 062 267 6535 if you have a few hours to spare to patrol, even once a week.
