Tribute to Dire Straits
To date, Dire Straits have sold in excess of 120 million albums, and this show features a selection of their hit songs.
RHUMBELOW Theatre , Umbilo, presents Tribute to Dire Straits with The Reals from Friday, 31 January to Sunday, 2 February and Friday, 7 to Sunday, 9 February.
Back by popular demand, The Reals, Barry Thomson, Dawn Selby, Mali Sewell, Jason Andrew and guest guitarist Shaun Dragt, pay tribute to the music of Mark Knopfler and his band which was formed in 1977. Their sound was influenced by a variety of musical styles including jazz, folk and blues, and contrasted with the prominence of punk rock during their early years.

The shows are at 8pm, with a matinee show at 2pm on Sunday. Take food picnic baskets. The venue opens 90 minutes before the show. Braais will be available should you wish to cook some meat. Tickets are R160, and R140 concessions. Tickets are R130 each for block bookings of eight or more.
