Make 2020 a wild year with CROW calendar

Wildlife photographers Marc and Stella de Chalain sponsored all the photos for the 2020 calendar.

THE launch of the 2020 ‘Walk on the Wild Side’ calendar in support of CROW (Centre for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife) took place recently at the centre.

CROW is the only registered wildlife rehabilitation centre dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of all indigenous wildlife found in KwaZulu-Natal.

The wildlife calendar is a fundraising initiative of Compass Cares, the CSI arm of Compass Medical Waste Services. The proceeds from the sale of the calendar support injured, vulnerable and orphaned animals.

The highlight of the launch was ‘Mug’ the baby alligator who the guests were able to meet, followed by the feeding of the tortoises.

With the help of loyal sponsors and animal lovers who have bought the calendar for the past 10 years, CROW has been able to purchase three vehicles, build geese enclosures, hire an education officer, build a baboon enclosure and an antelope enclosure and upgrade the ops room and clinic.
