Designs showcased at Africa Fashion Exchange

THE KZN Fashion Council recently launched the third instalment of the Africa Fashion Exchange 2019, an annual fashion extravaganza launched in 2016 with the aim to promote and highlight KwaZulu-Natal’s clothing, textile and manufacturing sectors.

This annual fashion event is scheduled to take place from 17 to 19 October at the Greyville Convention Centre in Durban.

The event will incorporate a variety of activities including access to market, networking opportunities, knowledge-sharing sessions, exhibitions, film screenings and fashion show evenings.

Each day will start with panel discussion/master-class sessions that has a line-up of key industry speakers who will share their expert advice in their fields. Day one will focus on “Sustainability, Technology and Innovation,” day two on “The Global Fusion AfroEuro/AfroAsia, while day three talking points will be “When Art, Heritage, Music, Literature, Design and Film and Fashion Meets.”

An invitation only gala dinner will be held on 17 October which will celebrate the KZN Fashion Council’s 10th anniversary.

More than 500 fashion entrepreneurs, buyers, students, government representatives, business development entities, models, delegates from around the continent, celebs, influencers and entertainers are expected to attend the event.

Tickets for the fashion show evenings are available at selected Ticketpro outlets and online at a cost of R100 per ticket for each session.
