Where have all the birds gone?

This talk will look at some of the examples which illustrate these biological cascades and will use a local example from Durban Bay.

A TALK entitled Where have all the birdies gone? A Series of Unexpected Biological Cascades, will be held at Durban Botanic Gardens Visitors Centre on Monday, 26 August at 5.30pm for 6pm.

Guest speaker is Prof Anthony (Ticky) Forbes, aquatic scientist. The significance of the interactions between predators and their prey has long been an intriguing topic. However, other interactions between animals, from starfish to sea otters, occupying the same habitat can be equally fascinating.

This talk will look at some of the examples which illustrate these biological cascades and will use a local example from Durban Bay.

Entrance is R35 for members, R55 for visitors, and R25 for students/learners, which includes tea at the start. Proceeds go to BotSoc KZN branch projects. All welcome. No need to book.
