ICON-ic convention returns to Durban

If you are into board games, card games, cosplay and duelling knights, make your way to ICON Durban in July.

LET your geek flag fly high at ICON Durban on Saturday, 6 and Sunday,7 July at the Old Mutual Sports Hall, Gate 9 on Rick Turner Road in Glenwood.

ICON is South Africa’s longest running comics, gaming and popular culture convention and each year provides the best in pop culture retail and experiences, boardgaming and tabletop warfare, cosplay competitions and tournaments.

The events highlights include Fight-a-Knight; Catan: Road to the World Championships; Keyforge, Boardgame competitions; cosplay; Warhammer; Magic: The Gathering; Dungeons and Dragons; Pathfinder; Pokemon; Yu-Gi-Oh!; polymer clay workshops and more. More than 50 exhibitors and a variety of food and drink stalls will be available. The entrance fee is R80 per person per day or R130 per person for a standard weekend pass. Electronic tickets can be purchased through TIXSA or at the door. Safe and secure parking is available at the front and back of the hall.
