Lennon composed Imagine one morning in early 1971, on a Steinway piano, in a bedroom at his Tittenhurst Park estate in Ascot, Berkshire, England. His wife Ono watched as he composed the melody, chord structure and almost all the lyrics, nearly completing the song in one brief writing session.

One of 100 authenticated copies (Gavin has the original), this item is to be auctioned with a reserve of R20 000.

The school invites pre-bids from interested parties. If you are interested in submitting a bid, send it to admin@dhsfoundation.co.za before Friday, 31 May.
