Duo Appassionato for Friends recital

Violeta Osorhean and pianist Andrew Warburton will perform in a programme of solo and duo virtuosso works.

FRIENDS of Music presents Duo Appassionato, with violinist Violeta Osorhean and pianist Andrew Warburton, in a programme of solo and duo virtuosso works on Tuesday 14 May at Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga (Old Fort) Road, Durban, at 7.30pm.

Violeta Osorhean was born in Romania and started playing the violin at the age of six. She studied violin at the Romanian Music Academy. In 2005 she relocated to Durban to take up a position with the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra and has, since September 2017, been the concert master for the Orchestra.

Prelude performers are sisters Nilashri and Sonali Naidoo.

Andrew Warburton is acknowledged as one of the finest solo pianists and accompanists in South Africa. He graduated with a PhD in piano performance in April this year.

Prelude performers are sisters, violinist Sonali Naidoo and flautist Nilashri Naidoo, both learners at Durban Girls’ College.

Tickets are R100 for members and R120 for visitors, and are available at the door.
