Mozambican bassist performs at UKZN

Ildo Nandja uses his African rhythmical abilities and expertise to express advanced harmonic concepts to his compositions.

THE Centre for Jazz and Popular Music presents Mozambican born bassist Ildo Nandja on Wednesday, 3 April at 6pm.

Hailing from Maputo, a steady fixture in the Durban Jazz scene and currently on the European circuit while pursuing further studies in the Netherlands, Ildo Nandja’s will showcase some of the materials he’s been experimenting while overseas.

Join Ildo Nandja with Neil Gonsalves (piano and harmonica) and Riley Giandhari (drums) at The Centre for Jazz and Popular music (CJPM), Level 2, Shepstone Building at UKZN Howard College Campus.
