Suspects arrested in Morningside

The suspects were handed over to the Berea SAPS who attended the scene of the crime.

BLUE Security armed response officers arrested two alleged housebreakers in Morningside on Friday night around 11.50pm.

Community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said officers responded to an alarm activation in Innes Road when they spotted two suspects running along the road.

Mathios added, “The officers handcuffed the suspects and took them back to the property where they had allegedly jumped over the fence and then used garden tools to force open the front door to gain entry. The suspects led the officers to where they had dumped a flat screen TV that they had removed from the house.”

The suspects were handed over to the Berea SAPS who attended the scene of the crime.
