The police's hard work and persistence paid off when they arrested three suspects who were on a mission to commit crime in the area.

FOLLOWING an analysis of criminal activities in the area, in particular robberies and theft of motor vehicles, Berea SAPS deployed officers strategically in the Musgrave area on 5 September and were rewarded when they arrested three suspects.

Brigadier Jay Naicker from provincial SAPS said while police where undertaking the operation in Musgrave Road they spotted three men on foot who aroused the suspicions of the eagle-eyed crime fighters.

“The quick thinking officers immediately called for back up to prevent the suspects from slipping through the net. As police officers approached the men they attempted to flee to avoid arrest.
