Community asked to aid justice

Assistance is being sought by Durban Central FCS Unit in a rape case.

DURBAN Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is appealing to the community for assistance in their investigations into an incident of rape.

Col Thembeka Mbele from provincial SAPS said on 18 July at about 7.30pm, a 25-year-old woman was waiting for her sister in the area around Julius Nyerere Road when she was approached by an unknown man offering to assist her to the bus stop.

She claims that, “on their way to the Workshop they ended up in an unknown storage area where the victim was raped.”
