Assistance sought in rape case

Durban Central FCS Unit is looking for information to help solve a case of rape.

DURBAN Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is appealing to the community for information regarding a case of rape and theft they are investigating.

According to Const Zanele Khomo, it is alleged that on 3 July at 5am, a woman was walking down Pine Street when she was approached by a man.

“The man asked the woman where she was walking to so early in the morning. As they were walking near the Medwood Gardens passage the man pushed her into to the passage and raped her. He also stole her purse and cellphone,” she said.

Police believe the man they have an identikit of can be of assistance in solving the case.
