Dolphins host women’s brunch
Hollywoodbets Dolphins will host a Women in Sport and Business Brunch on 30 August.
IN celebration of women’s month, the Hollywoodbets Dolphins will host a Women in Sport and Business Brunch on 30 August at Kingsmead Cricket Stadium at 9am.
KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union’s marketing manager, Nana Ngubane said women in sports and business had, for many years, been side-lined.
“However in recent years, various sport federations have been gradually trying to right the wrongs of the past – in business as well, the world is now turning to female leaders for insight and counsel. Not to say that the injustices are now non-existent, however there is a visible shift that we have witnessed and would like to drive it forward in our capacity,” she said.

The Dolphins felt that it was time that they took a prominent position in driving these conversations of inequality between male and female sports and business people head on.
“The Hollywoodbets Dolphins have decided to take a stand through action. This event will be a first of its kind and we are hoping to level the ground and create a platform where everyone can speak without fear or favour,” Ngubane added.
The line-up for the day will be Margaret Hirsch, Jane Linley-Thomas, Nandi Dlepu and Dinesha Devanarain. They will speak on how they have been able to break barriers in their respective fields.
