Theatre-goers wowed by BFG

The production is at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre on UZKN Howard College campus until 8 July.

THERE was a standing ovation and loud applause by young and old theatre-goers for KickstArt’s enchanting reimagining of Roald Dahl’s delightful children’s classic The BFG, on Friday night.

The production is at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre on UZKN Howard College campus until 8 July. The story follows ten-year-old Sophie, who is in for the adventure of a lifetime when she meets the Big Friendly Giant. Naturally scared at first, the young girl soon realises that the 24-foot behemoth is actually quite gentle and charming.

As their friendship grows, Sophie’s presence attracts the unwanted attention of Bloodbottler, Fleshlumpeater and other giants. After travelling to London, Sophie and the BFG must convince the Queen to help them get rid of all the bad giants once and for all.
