Careers expo equips learners for success

High School learners are invited to a careers expo at Watercrest Mall.

LEARNERS are urged not to miss the High School Careers Expo in association with SABC at Watercrest Mall on Friday, 4 and Saturday, 5 May.

The High School Career Expo is South Africa’s only national public exhibition that is designed to provide both primary school children looking for a high school or prospective students and high school learners with the necessary tools to succeed in high school or tertiary education and beyond.

All primary and middle school students and their parents can learn more about public and private high schools, including special programmes, extracurricular activities and admissions criteria.

Tertiary institutions can exhibit, to provide prospective students with tertiary education information.

High school learners and parents, especially in Grade 11 and 12, are provided with tertiary education information on courses, loans, transportation, accommodation and assistance with detailed course explanations and making the correct choice of study.

Between 9am and noon there will be motivational speakers at the High Flyers Power Hour to give inspirational talks to each group for 30 to 40 minutes, and then participants can walk around afterwards to speak to each individual stand.

Entrance is free for everyone to attend. Transport is provided within 10km return for R10 on Friday or Saturday between 9am and noon.
