Woman knocked down on N3
Paramedics arrived to find the woman lying on the side of the road.
A woman, believed to be in her 20s, was critically injured after being knocked down by a light motor vehicle on the N3 highway after the Brickfield off-ramp in Overport.
Russel Meiring of ER24 said paramedics arrived at 7.20am and found the woman lying on the side of the road. A light motor vehicle found parked a short distance away.

Paramedics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries, leaving her in a critical condition. She was treated for her injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions before she was transported to Addington Hospital.
The driver of the light motor vehicle fortunately escaped injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
