#JacobZuma thanks supporters outside Durban High Court

Mr Zuma said he was being persecuted for being a champion of radical economic transformation.

STEPPING out of the Durban High Court this morning, after the case against him was postponed to 8 June, former president Jacob Zuma was met with loud cheers from hundreds of his supporters who had gathered outside the court in a show of strength.

Addressing the crowd, Mr Zuma said he was being persecuted for being a champion of radical economic transformation.

He said he would not heed the call of certain ANC members who did not want him campaigning for the party in the upcoming elections.

He went on to thank all those who had come out to support him, making special mention of premier, Willies Mchunu, Sihle Zikalala, Faith Muthambi and former SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng.

Black Land First leader, Andile Mngxitama also addressed the crowd calling on authorities to let Zuma go and to arrest De Klerk. He also called on black people to expropriate land without compensation.
