Bakkie engine stalls rescue work

"We are desperate for help with our bakkie, which we need to run our organisation and to do animal rescues."

EDITOR – We are appealing to the community to help with sponsorship of either a new bakkie, or proper repairs to our bakkie.

For 30 years we have run the organisation, The Menagerie, where we do animal rescue and caring for animals who can’t be released, and are desperate for help with our bakkie, which we need to run our organisation and to do rescues.

Our bakkie is 17 years old and we have had many people help us fix the first engine. Unfortunately this was not done correctly and it blew a hole in the sump. Since then a piston cracked, the fanbelt snapped and there was an oil leak! We have spent thousands trying to get it fixed, but have had no joy.

The engine does have a knock so we are nervous to drive it around.

We really need help so we can continue doing our work. If anyone can help, they can contact us on 081 351 6692 and on WhatsApp.
