MORE news from this mornings attempted cash-in-transit heist in Springfield Park indicates that one of the suspects was fatally wounded and another critically injured in a shootout with guards. A further two suspects in the getaway vehicle were arrested by police.

According to Blue Security’s Andreas Mathios, armed suspects in a second vehicle fled towards Parlock where a second shootout occurred. Mathios said five suspects were allegedly killed in the vehicle in Parlock, but this number has still to be confirmed.
Garrith Jamieson of Rescue Care confirmed that two civilians were shot in the crossfire in the Parlock area.
Traffic was severely affected as the roads were cordoned off.
