UNISA announces delay in study material

"The University is working hard to ensure adequate and quick delivery to outstanding study material."

UNISA students can expect a delay in some of their study material, due to an unexpected increase in student registration for the 2017 academic year.

According to the University, all outstanding study material will be delivered to the affected students as soon as possible. Items weighing less than a kilogram will be distributed via South African Post Office (SAPO) ordinary mail as per legislation.

Unisa Principal and Vice Chancellor, Professor Mandla Makhanya said “We understand the student frustrations regarding the delay and we sincerely convey our apologies for the inconvenience. The University is working hard to ensure adequate and quick delivery to outstanding study material.”

In the meantime, students are urged to access their outstanding study material via myUnisa. Downloading study material from myUnisa is easy to do. Just follow these steps:

Go to https://my.unisa.ac.za and login with your student number and password. If you haven’t yet activated your myUnisa account and claimed your myLife e-mail account, click on “Claim Unisa login” on the homepage of myUnisa and follow the instructions.

Click on a module tab / link at the top of the screen.

Now click on “Official study material” in the left-hand navigation panel. The PDF versions of the available study material for that module will display. By accessing your study material via myUnisa, students will be able to start studying immediately, which will ensure that they have sufficient time to complete and submit their assignments.
