Predicted snowfalls bring chilly weather to Durban

Don't pack away the winter woollies just yet, chilly weather is expected this week with predicted snowfalls in the Drakensberg and possibly KZN midlands.

ALL eyes are on the weather charts this week as a weather system moves in bringing with it predicted snowfalls in the Western Cape and slowly moving across the country into the Eastern Cape, Drakensberg and KZN Midlands.

Some heavy falls are possible in Lesotho, the KZN Drakensberg and the EC Drakensberg during this time.

There is a slight possibility that some light snow could also fall in the Clarens area of the Free State during Thursday.

There might still be some light flurries around on Friday morning over high ground in the EC Drakensberg, central EC and south western KZN, but by lunch time on Friday, all snowfalls should stop.

This system is still developing, and is subject to change in the days ahead.
