Football legends coach at workshop

Coaches came out in the masses for the football legends’ coaching workshop at DHS.

MORE than 50 football coaches attended the three-day coaches workshop run by former Bafana coach, Clive Barker at Durban High School this week.

The workshop aimed to impart valuable tips, tricks and advice to football coaches from both primary and high schools alike and came complete with an introductory football course for teachers manual for each coach’s reference. Apart from the physical aspect of the workshop, participants also wrote a test on day three with reference to the manual, bringing the workshop to a close.

When asked what his feelings were about workshop, Clive Barker said: “I am delighted. This is the first time since hosting a workshop like this that I see such great potential. The teachers have all showed class, respect and enthusiasm to learn and overall, it has been successful.”
