Learn about plant conservation

South Africa’s Plant Conservation Strategy will be explained at the next BotSoc meeting.

BOTSOC KZN Coastal Branch presents an illustrated presentation on South Africa’s Plant Conservation Strategy – a collaboration between SANBI, the Botanical Society and a network of botanists and conservationists – on Monday, 26 June at Durban Botanic Gardens Visitors Centre at 6pm.

Suvarna Parbhoo, manager of SANBI’s Custodians of Rare and Endangered Wildflowers Programme in the Summer-rainfall Region, will explain the strategy’s five objectives and the 16 targets to be achieved by 2020.

Entrance, including refreshments, is R40 for members of BotSoc, R60 for visitors and R30 for students with cards. Pay at the door.

Proceeds will go to BotSoc branch projects.
