ALIGNED to the eThekwini Municipality’s vision for 2030 of being Africa’s most liveable city, HOMii, a new tech-based residential and lifestyle development solution for metropolitans, aptly called Emtateni Lifestyle Precinct, which depicts the heart and soul of the Durban harbour was launched on Friday. The trendy urban living option is set to change the face of the city and breathe new life into the streets. This unique blueprint will be replicated in major cities, including Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Technology will be a key player in bringing a personalized and quality service to the HOMii resident. Instant access 24/7 via the HOMii website and a custom designed Mobile App, will allow anyone in any city the ability to locate, book and pay for their preferred HOMii apartment.

Viren Mungal said the Homii concept is part of the city’s vision to grow the economy and meet citizen’s needs so that they enjoy a high quality of life and equal opportunities. It offers safe, convenient and affordable living options with a range of stylish rooms to choose from, modern facilities and a social atmosphere.

“The project is driven by the passion for building a community in the city. HOMii will create the ideal environment for residents to build friendships and expand socially inside and outside of their home. The HOMii facilities are designed to make the residents’ day-to-day responsibilities simple and convenient, giving them that extra time to relax, build friendships and enjoy life,” said Mungal.

The Mobile App’s functionality will allow the guest the opportunity to have a closer look and feel of the building. Once downloaded, the App will send a notification to the guest locating them to the closest HOMii building, along with availability. There will be no need to go through endless paperwork to get approval.The energy-efficient model boasts a fresh living approach and is ideally poised for slick upcoming professionals who want to create a vibrant city lifestyle.
