Driver killed in Durban collision

the driver, a male believed to be in his thirties, had sustained major injuries and had passed away before paramedics' arrival.

A driver has been killed and three others injured after the vehicle they were in left the N3 near Old Dutch Road this afternoon and collided with a concrete wall in central Durban.

Rescue Care Operations Director, Garrith Jamieson said Just after 11:30am on Sunday morning Rescue Care Paramedics responded to the collision on the N3.

“On their assessment it was found that the driver, a male believed to be in his thirties, had sustained major injuries and had passed away before paramedics’ arrival. He was declared deceased on the scene. Three passengers were stabilised on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital,” Jamieson said.

Jamieson added that at this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown.
