Children’s theatre holiday fun

Rhumbelow Theatre in Umbilo will host two fun children's shows during the school holidays.

TWO fun children’s shows will be staged at Rhumbelow Theatre, Umbilo during the school holidays.

Seaside Suzy, a puppet show with Mim Erasmus will run from 3 to 6 April at 10am and Cherry’s Dotty Fun Clown Show, Cherry The Clown (aka Adi Paxton), will be at 11.30am from 3 to 6 April.

Seaside Suzy is a musical puppet pantomime with all the attributes of a large stage pantomime – a good story, comedy, music and singing along, but on a smaller scale.

Go along with Suzy and her friends as she spends a musical day at the seaside with her Granny. She meets Roy, the Rainbow Boy, a shark, donkey and rabbit, as well as Christopher Crocodile.

Join Cherry The Clown in her Dotty Fun Show. Cherry is seeing spots and needs the audience to help her sort the dots, spots or blotches and to un-muddle her colours. Interactive and playful with a little learning along with magic, juggling and an Abraca zebra too.

This will be followed by face painting and colouring in the pictures on Cherry’s Magic Colouring-in book.

These shows support Acting for Rhinos, an exciting project initiated by Eden College Durban and members of the Durban Theatre community, to unite the arts with conservation. Eden College will be doing snacks, juices and other exciting things at Rhumbelow for fund raising.

Cost is R75 a ticket for each show. Book at Computicket or phone or email Roland for bookings on 082 499 8636 or roland@stansell.za.net.
