Good arrest by UIP officers
The UIP security vehicle and Enforce Armed Reaction gave chase and were able to arrest one of the suspects.
FLORIDA Road UIP security officers, Benedictus Mncwango and Alex Gebhuza have been commended for their recent arrest of a suspect.
According to Jarrod Evans, precinct manager, while on patrol, Mncwango saw two suspicious males carry a large bag down Florida Road. While attempting to pull over, the individuals spotted the vehicle, dropped the bag and ran off. Mncwango inspected the bag and found a TV.
“Assuming it was stolen, he took it to the Metro Police/UIP multi-use kiosk. At this point he received a report from the staff at Europa restaurant of two individuals acting suspiciously in the open air forecourt of Keys on Florida Road. A description of the suspects was given along with the direction in which they departed,” said Evans.
He said the UIP security vehicle and Enforce Armed Reaction gave chase and were able to arrest one of the suspects.
“Benedictus identified the suspects as being the same two he originally noticed walking down Florida Road,” said Evans.
